AND

What you see in these pictures:

Picture 1:
27” JVC TV (dont need to replace, its about 12 years old, but the picture is better than most lcd I am seeing these dats)

LG - LD531 DVD Player (Featuring DivX Capabilities and Memory Insert Slots (like for psps, or the new Nikon Cameras)

Polk Audio CSi3 Center Channel Speaker

Paradigm Front Speakers

Picture 2:
Nice comfortable chair (being replaced with a leather loveseat ->Yes for lovin’<-)
2x 80W Polk Audio Rear Surround Speakers.

Now my question is…

What else do I need?

Before you guys say a sub woofer, I just got my first job, and I’m workin towards getting a Velodryn(e) 12” Sub. for about $600 (CDN).

I’m also saving up towards a new computer, with LCD monitor which will run me about 1200 - 1500 CDN.

Is there anything else I should be getting? I want my room to be amazing. Because watching and listening is very important to me.

oh. and those posters are coming down 😊 I’ve got a DSOTM poster, and am getting master of puppets flag. and I’ve got a Wish You Were Here flag already on the other wall *you cant see*.

and that little gray box behind the left speaker is a heater/fan. It’s plugged into the back of the receiver so when the receiver turns on the fan turns on, and keeps it cool 😊

I’ve got a question maye some of you can answer. My dvd player with DivX, does that mean I can burn ANY video on my comp that’s DivX to a CD-R and watch it on my DVD player? or what? cuz it I need DVD-R’s then why would they advertise DivX?

Yep, you can put the DivX file on either cdr or dvdr and it should play.

lol. It may look old. and the picture may look bad right there (fast and the furious menu is moving, and as you can tell my camera is kinda fuzzy, I must have it set on low quality pics…) BUT I was debating yesterday (while at futureshop) and to find a TV that produces BETTER (not same, but better) picture AND the same size would cost me about 3-6 grand. And thats PLASMA (which I hear needs to be replaced every few years?)  so….

it accepts 720p!
also, a modded xbox with xbmc and a big hard drive is a very nice addition to any home theater. and i dont see a digital cable/satellite box.
