If you didnt know Doom 3 went gold is suppose to be released on August 3rd. Anyone going to get one?

I think HL2 looks more compelling and original at this point.  :|

Well kinda. Then again, HL is sort of a jump off of doom 😉

I agree. Once HL2 comes out everyone will forget about Doom 3. I may download the erm “demo” just to see the graphics and how well my comp does but I dont have any interest in playing through it.

That’s the thing.  id Games tend to be test-engines, but then someone uses the same tech to build a better game shortly after.

i’m a tad late on this post… but i’d probably get it when it’s cheaper.. like when doom 7 comes out or something =D

Doom 3 isn’t a rehash of Doom 1/2. It’s a re-telling of the original Doom story. I can’t believe gamers wouldn’t know that 😛 Doom 3 will have near cinematic quality, real-time shadows, paranoia levels that will go through the roof, and much more. I think it’s fun to play, and i’m currently working on a level for deathmatch called ... nope, I can’t tell yet!  😊
