Modless Xbox; will Xbox Live detect this?

I was reading through the tutorials linked on the front page in regards to modding a xbox without a physical modchip.  The tutorials indicate that you must transfer some files onto the Xbox harddisk.  I currently am subscribed to Xbox Live, and don’t really plan on getting banned anytime soon(still waiting for Halo 2!  8)) so I’m curious, what are the odds that eVoX or LinuXbox installations will be detected?

Thanks in advance for any assistence!

Thats pretty stupid then, whats the point.  Then again I got 2 Xbox… one I bought a year after launch(I’m a late Xboxfanboy; I use to be a Nintendo supporter.)  And the second I bought about 2 months ago from a bud for $50USD(well all together I paid him $250USD, but it included 30 games….NFS:Underground,SoulCalibur2,GTA:DualPack,Halo,DynastyWarriors4…etc.)

I should just get one modded and download new games… I still have yet to play Ninja Gaiden, I played the demo but I just didn’t feel it warranted a full purchase.

Actually, I dont think the XBOX softmod will be detected by XBOX Live at all. The service does a check for the physical chip.

Whats so strange about owning 2 Xbox?  of all the current gen consoles, the Xbox is the most flexible.  I was initially planning on turning it into a dedicated server across one of the Xbox Live games, and may still do so for Halo 2.

The fact is he really needed the money to fix up his mom’s BMW; he got into a little incident with it and was trying to cover up before his parents found out.

Yes, I am an oppurtunist.  Live with it.
