Well, I don’t think I could beat GeeksOnline, but I tried my best.

-subscribed to iAnywhere’s “Free Secure Mobile Email Solution download”
-added andru as a friend on digg.com
-dugg 14 pages of your submissions on digg.com as iampeanut
-Started to post on the Gear Live forums
-added link to my signature on the message boards of IGN.com. I frequently post there. (User: -MrPeanut-)
-added a link to my signature on cheapassgamer.com (link)
-added a link to my signature on GameFAQs.com as ThePnutVendor(link)
-added a link to GearLive on my AOL Instant Messenger profile
-added an image link to my signature on slickdeals.net (link)
-added an image link on my myspace (link)
-added a link to my blog on IGN.com (link)

-Since I work as a Computer Lab Monitor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, before opening up, I set all the computers open with GearLive as the homepage.

MSU LAB (32 computers)

FDH LAB (30 computers)

-also posted a sign of GearLive on a bulletin board around campus

I don’t know if this counts, but I’ve had GearLive on my Google personalized homepage for over a year now, which I check multiple times daily.

Wow - Okay, this one is between GeeksOnline and iampeanut.

I am in NYC for a couple more days on business, so I won’t decide until I get back in to town. I am curious to know what you guys think though! 😊

If I do somehow end up winning, that’d be incredibly awesome.

My 3 year old Zen Micro mp3 player recently died out on me, so I was in the market for a new portable media player.

Although a lot of people did some cool stuff and showed the can do it, Geeksonline and iampeanut both obviosly went above and beyond. I think GeeksOnline may have gotten a bit more accomplished but I get the feeling iampeanut is more of a fan of the site in general. I am personally impressed at anyone that went ahead and worked their arses off even after seeing all that GeeksOnline did knowing it may be impossible to win but went for it anyway, even if just for the support.

My vote (not that it counts for anything besides opinion heheh) is to choose both of them as winners. Rules are ok to break if it’s for a good reason heheh 😉. In fact, I would be willing to donate $25 towards the purchase of a second one to help cover the cost and who knows, maybe a couple other people who are impressed and appreciate the effort would do the same.

Good job everyone! And good luck to those in the running 😊.

I was a member of this site for over a year. once the forums were switched over my account was lost and I had to make a new one. The reason I don’t post that much anymore is there isn’t nearly any activity on the site that it used to be before the forum changed. And it seems like alot of spammers are now here :(  I offered to help out and gave ideas on how to get people back here. Not much I can do after that.

Man, I would hate to have to make this decision.

Maybe there can be another small contest to decide which one of them wins.  Maybe give them 2 weeks to get as many people signed up as users for these forums.  Have the new users make a post in a thread stating which user got them to sign up.

Just my thoughts. All he really did was put gearlive as a homepage on 60+ computers diffrent then me we both did the diggs and the magz and signatures. I thought andru would pick the winner since it is his site not the members. But oh well.. Congrats peanut. I guess being a forum newbie which i’m not doesn’t help..

Has a winner been announced?  If not I think you are jumping the gun here.

I’ve gotta agree with Scilynt here - they both deserve some kind of a prize. Personally, I think that the prize should be upped a bit, but thats up to the Andru.
