Kate Hudson on Harper's BazaarKate Hudson claims she "can't afford" designer clothes.

The Bride Wars actress - who has nine-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and two-year-old son Bingham with fiance Matt Bellamy - insists she has to borrow the high-end gowns she wears for the red carpet because they are too pricey for her budget.

"People think we own all these dresses. But we borrow them! I can't afford to buy that stuff. There are certain things I splurge on, but it's very rare, especially when you have two kids and school tuition. I'm not a big high-end fashion shopper. I wish I could but the truth is things are just so expensive. Before Isabel Marant was a million dollars and famous, I used to go to her store in Paris and go crazy, it was so affordable," she told Harper's Bazaar.

The 34-year-old beauty - who is worth a reported $38 million - credits her mother, Goldie Hawn, with her frugal ways: "My mom wasn't a big shopper for us. I think they wanted to instill that in us even though we grew up in a really privileged and lucky lifestyle."

Lady GagaLady Gaga dressed as a white witch at the Glamour Women of the Year awards last night.

The "Applause" hitmaker turned up at the elegant event in New York City in a spooky attire wearing a white lace pencil skirt, matching blazer and a sheer high-collar blouse, which she teamed with bizarre platform heels encrusted with different sized pearls. The 27-year-old singer wore a long blonde mane, which she'd severely crimped into a back-combed effect and smothered her face in a white powder to give off a ghostly appearance.

Gaga criticized her facial features and claimed she looked too artificially beautiful on the cover of this month's Glamour magazine. Speaking at the awards ceremony, she said, "I do not look like that when I wake up in the morning."

The flamboyant star - who has set up a charity, the Born This Way Foundation, to combat the bullying of youngsters - went on to explain she's not interested in fashion and music, but believes her true talent lies in bringing out the best in other people: "My true talent is not the clothes, and not the music. I really feel that what I am best at is seeing the potential in other people."

Jennifer Lawrence

"There are shows like The Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it's OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat. 'They call it 'fun' and they say 'welcome to the real world' - and that shouldn't be the real world, it's going to continue being the real world if we keep it that way. We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat."

The We're the Millers actress debuted a chic blonde bob on Monday while running errands in Los Angeles, which came as a surprise after years of wearing her trademark honey-colored hair down past her shoulders.

She told Vogue magazine the radical change was a spur-of-the-moment decision, saying, "I'm always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair all the [damage from] hair coloring and stuff like that. And I just got bored, honestly. It's fun to change it up once in awhile."

The We're The Millers actress also revealed her transformation was the result of her addiction to Brazilian blow dries, which use a combination of formaldehyde and keratin to keep locks straight for up to three months. Before stepping out in public with her shorter cut, Jennifer explained to Elle magazine, "It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase - this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it."
