Madonna Searching for a New Material Girl

Taylor Momsen is out of Madonna's Material Girl line, but we knew that was coming, didn't we? Madonna now seeks a new model for her clothing line.
The 52-year-old singer launched her Material Girl range - which is aimed at teenage girls - last year with the Gossip Girl star promoting the brand but, according to a posting on the company's official website, Madonna is looking for a new ambassador. Next to a picture of 17-year-old Taylor an advert proclaims, "Desperately seeking Material Girl."
It goes on to add, "Living in a material world and we need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene, she is never afraid." The posting encourages visitors to the site to vote for who they think should become the next face of the collection. Madonna worked on the Material Girl line with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes and admitted the youngster brought much of her own personal style to the collection: "I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine."

Earlier this year, we got to hear Taylor Momsen (sort) of fronting a perfume commercial for John Galliano. Now, we actually get to see her in the ad.
Although we found it strange that she didn’t really appear in the first version, we’re kind of torn now. After watching both videos, let us know what you think. Do you like the Parlez-Moi d'Amour spot better when you’re focusing on her singing – or on her raccoon eyes?

VIDEO: Taylor Momsen Sort of Fronts John Galliano Perfume

Gossip Girl star-turned-stripper-rocker Taylor Momsen was hired by John Galliano to front his perfume campaign for Parlez-Moi D’Amour. This came as quite a shock, considering Galliano seems like he’d want someone with more class (and perhaps less eyeliner) to become the face of his high-end beauty product.
The first promo for the product (seen in the video above) for which Momsen was hired doesn’t actually have the actress in it. Well, not her face, anyway. Instead, the actress lends her vocal chords to a tune much softer than what her bandmates are used to playing. All in all, it’s not so bad, but who would honestly know that it’s her? Seems like some wasted money on Galliano’s part.

Jessica Szohr Wants Taylor Momsen’s Clothes

Jessica Szohr wishes she could swap her style with Taylor Momsen—her character’s, that is.
The Gossip Girl star - who plays Vanessa Abrams in the hit series - admits while she likes the clothes her character is given in the show, she would love to wear the “girly” pieces Taylor’s character Jenny gets to fashion.
“I personally think Jenny has the best wardrobe on the show - it’s kind of grungy, but girly, without being too put together.”
The brunette beauty - who has been dating her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick since 2008 - admitted while she thinks her character wears too many contrasting patterns and colors, she thinks all the girls in the show look “great.”
“Blair is too structured and perfect, Serena is always glammed up. Vanessa’s way too much with every color and pattern. It sounds like I’m being negative about them all, but I’m not - I think they all look great. But if I was going to go shopping for me, I’d head straight into Jenny’s closet.”

VIDEO: Taylor Momsen Shares Her Beauty Routine

If you thought Taylor Momsen wasted little effort to achieve her daily appearance, you’d be right. The actress/singer known for collecting tips in her shoes prefers to spend less time getting ready in real life than she probably does on Gossip Girl.
In this clip for MTV, Momsen said there are five basic steps involved in her beauty routine. “Well, I shower…and then i put a ton of black on my eyes…and then i put lipstick on…and a little bit of blush….and don’t brush my hair. That’s pretty much what I do,” she said, adding: “And, you know, all the things that I won’t mention on TV.” Because…?

Fashion Police: Taylor Momsen Wants You to Put Tips in Her Heels

Judging by the Spring/Summer 2010 runways, clear heels are certainly trending right now; however, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen took it down to a whole level of trashy.
Performing with her band The Pretty Reckless, 16 year-old Momsen gives Miley Cyrus a run for her money in a skin-tight, short corset held down by some very adult garters. Despite her lingerie-heavy outfit, her clear platforms recently attracted quite a bit of attention, considering it has a slot for tips.

Big cat T-shirts are set to be a huge trend this season. A host of celebrities - including Daisy Lowe, Taylor Momsen, Ashley Tisdale and Frankie Sandford - have been donning the feline print tops in recent weeks and they are now set to take the fashion world by storm.
Following on from winter’s leopard print trend, the cat patterns give the look a fresh feel and look great under blazers, teamed with leggings and denim. One fashion insider said, “Big cat T-shirts are a continuation of winter’s leopard print trend. They’re the micro-trend of the moment and make you look really confident. They also look great with all the big summer looks, like denim shorts and leggings.”
Another look set to take off is tribal prints, with Nicola Roberts, Naomi Campbell and Kim Kardashian all wearing them recently. In order to pull-off the look, wearers must be quite bold with their choices and not worry about being perfectly matching.
