Items Du Jour: Natalie for Dior, Sasha for Miu Miu, Leighton for Missoni

Leighton Meester-- Natalie Portman  is stunning in her Christian Dior ad for the fragrance Miss Dior. Knowing that she's an animal rights activist, I can't help but feel reminded of the "I'd Rather Be Naked" campaign...

-- Sasha Pivovarova returns to Miucci Prada's fashionable arms in her Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2011 ads, shot by Mert and Marcus.

-- Take that, Blake! Not to be outshined by her Gossip Girl co-star's Chanel gig, Leighton Meester strikes a pose for Missoni. When there's a will to do high fashion, there's a way.

-- Lindsey Wixson gets in front of Terry Richardson's lens for Opening Ceremony's Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook. Apparently, Terry can do cute and adorable without being sleazy.

-- Speaking of Richardson, Paris Hilton (remember her?) posted a picture of the two on her Twitter, propagating the news that she's going to be in a Vogue editorial -- Vogue Turkey, that is.

Miranda Kerr on Vogue Italia—Reality star-turned-fashion designer Nicole Richie is having difficulty with some of the stores her line is carried in. Majestic Mills, the company who owns her line Winter Kate, is going after Kitson for $240,000 worth of product given and not yet paid for.

—Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman gave birth to her first daughter, India Pearl, on Sunday night. This is Chapman’s first child with Hollywood producer husband Harvey Weinstein.

—Steven Meisel shot Miranda Kerr and her puppy for Vogue Italia. Does the puppy’s cuteness trump the cover’s 3-D-ness?

—For years, Anne Hathaway has proudly flashed her flowing, long brunette hair. Now the actress has chopped it off for a film role. What do you think of her new ‘do?

—Corrine Day, the fashion photographer noted for propelling Kate Moss’ career with their FACE editorial in 1990, passed away on Friday after a battle with brain cancer.

Items Du Jour: Lady Gaga to Star in Film, Rachel Zoe Dies, Wang Hires Kravitz

Kate Moss on the cover of i-D—Despite the behind-the-scenes drama supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell made about sharing an i-D cover with Lady Gaga, the magazine ended up with all three divas on separate covers.

—Lady Gaga is reportedly set to star in her own autobiographical film, directed by Bryan Singer. Don’t act like you didn’t see that one coming.

—Steven Meisel looked to the Gulf oil spill for inspiration: his Italian Vogue editorial stars Kristen McMenamy, styled by Karl Templer. The fashion industry doesn’t always have to be vacuous…

—Once again, it pays to be a celebrity’s kid: Zoe Kravitz nabbed a gig modeling for Alexander Wang’s T line. Co-starring Max Motta, the ads are expected to hit New York streets as early as this Thursday.

Harper’s Bazaar makes Rachel Zoe as a fashion victim—literally. The celebrity stylist and reality star strikes several different poses in scenes where designers Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, and Michael Kors appear to murder her!
