Michelle Obama Not Opposed to Botox

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,

Michelle ObamaMichelle Obama hasn't ruled out having Botox.

The 49-year-old First Lady isn't against having the cosmetic procedure to maintain her youthful looks because she believes women should have the power to feel confident in their own skin.

"Right now, I don't imagine that I would go that route, but I've also learned to never say 'never.' Women should have the freedom to do whatever they need to do to feel good about themselves," she explained.

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty turns 50 on Friday and has requested that Adele performs at her birthday bash alongside Beyonce. However, it was previously thought that Adele had also been asked to sing at Kate Moss' 40th birthday party, which falls the day before, and was in a dilemma over which invitation to accept. "Kate's 40th is on January 16 and Michelle's 50th is the day after. Moss asked her team first to find out how much it would cost to get Adele to perform. But Michelle then also invited her to sing alongside Beyonce at the White House. With Adele's fees she could make $4.8 million in 72 hours if she flies from Kate's to the States," a source said.

Erdem Rules Out High Street Collection

Erdem MoraliogluErdem Moralioglu has ruled out launching a high street collection.

The designer gave a public talk with Colin McDowell at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London last night, as part of the Fashion Fringe Roadshow in which he said he will be working on his collections, rather than pieces for the high street.

"It's never been the right moment. If it works for some people, then that's wonderful - but it depends on where you're at. For me, it's really important to concentrate on your collection and your own work. Once you start looking at versions of your work, it can get a bit dangerous. One can do it really well and in an interesting way though," he said.

Erdem also played down his links to Dior, and was cagey about being touted as a possible successor for disgraced designer John Galliano: "Anything like that is a compliment. But you just have to concentrate on your job and what you're doing."

Michelle Obama Repeats an Alexander McQueen Look

Michelle Obama

First Lady Michelle Obama wore a chic Alexander McQueen dress to a Chambers of Commerce meeting yesterday. As most are already pointing out, she has previously -- gasp -- worn the number last year.

First, who wouldn't repeat an Alexander McQueen piece like that? Second, as I previously have made clear in defending Kate Middleton, what is so wrong with repeating an outfit? We praise Michelle for doing "normal" things like shopping at Target -- are we going to frown upon her for repeating outfits like the rest of us?

If the woman really wants to wear a dress that she loves again, let the woman wear it!

Tilda Swinton at the OscarsVictoria Beckham wants to dress Tilda Swinton. The singer-turned-fashion designer has already seen a host of female celebrities wear her designs and admits it would be a dream come true if the Oscar-winning actress donned one of her creations at a prestigious event.

"I'd like to dress Tilda Swinton, I'm obsessed with her, and also Angelina Jolie, Kate Bosworth and Michelle Obama - she would look great in the dresses. I'm flattered whenever I see a woman wearing one of my dresses - they don't have to be famous - and it's always a great compliment," Victoria said when speaking about who she would like to dress.

Victoria says celebrities often ask to wear one of her dresses, but she is very careful about how many she gives out because she doesn't want anyone in the same outfit.

"There has been competition to wear the same dress but I deal with it in a diplomatic way. I know what it's like - you don't want to wear the same thing as someone else. All the requests come through me. I make sure I manage it well so there's no embarrassment of people wearing the same thing. I don't want people ending up in those 'who wore it better' features, unless it's me because I wear them first. It's been amazing. The response has been breathtaking."

Madonna’s Exercise Regime Revealed

Madonna with trainer Tracy AndersonMadonna trains for two hours a day, six days a week.

The “Material Girl” singer, famed for her sculptured body, works hard with personal trainer Tracy Anderson to maintain her physique but is careful she doesn’t look too muscular.

“We train for two hours six days a week. We do 45 minutes of dance aerobics, followed by work on muscle tone, flexibility and definition. There’s no running and no weights bigger than three pounds, because Madonna doesn’t want to bulk up.”

Although Madonna has drawn criticism for her toned arms in recent months, Tracy insists she has a “perfect” figure and looks better than American First Lady Michelle Obama.

“Madonna’s body is perfect. She has no fat, no cellulite, she is so toned, and her arms are amazing. Michelle Obama’s arms look beautiful, but I think I could get her into even better shape.”

Tracy also trains Madonna’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow and recently praised the actress’ dedication to her exercise regime: “In the past, she’d had times when she was very, very thin, but never this toned. Her definition is unreal.”
