Georgia May Jagger with Madonna and her daughter LourdesGeorgia May Jagger gets her style inspiration from Madonna.

The 20-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and former supermodel Jerry Hall, revealed that the singer is her fashion icon. The face of the Fall 2012 Material Girl marketing campaign said, "I had so much fun shooting this campaign." The photo shoot took place at the rehearsal for Madonna's MDNA tour at Nassau Coliseum in May.

She added that her experience growing up on tour with her father enabled her to channel what Madonna and her daughter Lourdes has in mind for the line of clothing's new season: "I spent a lot of my childhood backstage hanging out around amps. That was where we chilled when we were younger. So this photo shoot brought back a lot of memories. I have always admired Madonna's music and style; she is constantly reinventing herself."

Georgia May Jagger ‘Thrilled’ to Work with Madonna

Lourdes Georgia May Jagger is "thrilled" to be working with Madonna and her daughter Lourdes on their fashion line.

The model was announced as the new face of Material Girl on Wednesday and says she is delighted to work with Madonna because the "Gimme All Your Luvin" singer is one of her style icons.

"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola [Lourdes] as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing. It all came together rather quickly. My agent received a call from the Material Girl team saying Lola and Madonna wanted to work together with me.
From talking with Lola, she and her mum liked my style and thought it would be a good fit. I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with her and Lola. I dressed up like her for a school dance once! The campaign will break this summer. I'm sworn to secrecy until then, but we shot in New York and it was great fun," she said.

The 20-year-old model- whose parents are Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger - is also the face of Rimmel London and is currently in Paris shooting a campaign for Hudson Jeans.

Is Kelly Osbourne the New Face of Material Girl?

Kelly OsbourneKelly Osbourne is reportedly set to be unveiled as the new face of Madonna's Material Girl clothing line.

The Fashion Police presenter will take over the role from Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen after the brand recently launched an appeal on its website, asking fans to choose their preferred celebrity ambassador for the label.

"Kelly's always been a massive fan of Madonna and recently heard Lourdes idolized her, which she was very flattered by. It's a huge coup," said a close friend of Kelly's.

The new appointment could help to heal a rift between Madonna, 52, and Kelly's mother, presenter and rock manager Sharon Osbourne, who is renowned for her sharp tongue. "She is full of s**t. I would like to punch her. She's a tart," Sharon said of Madonna in 2005.

A source, however, revealed Sharon will support Kelly if she does take on the modeling gig: "Sharon and Kelly are very, very close and she will support her daughter with all her heart, like she does all her children. If Kelly ends up modeling for Material Girl, it will be great."

Madonna Searching for a New Material Girl

Madonna for her Material Girl lineTaylor Momsen is out of Madonna's Material Girl line, but we knew that was coming, didn't we? Madonna now seeks a new model for her clothing line.

The 52-year-old singer launched her Material Girl range - which is aimed at teenage girls - last year with the Gossip Girl star promoting the brand but, according to a posting on the company's official website, Madonna is looking for a new ambassador. Next to a picture of 17-year-old Taylor an advert proclaims, "Desperately seeking Material Girl."

It goes on to add, "Living in a material world and we need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene, she is never afraid." The posting encourages visitors to the site to vote for who they think should become the next face of the collection. Madonna worked on the Material Girl line with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes and admitted the youngster brought much of her own personal style to the collection: "I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine."

Quote of the Day: Madonna Restricts Daughter’s Style

Lourdes Leon, Taylor Momsen, Madonna

“There are certain things she is not allowed to wear—almost every morning we have our differences over it. No too-low V necks. School is not a nightclub. I always say to her: ‘Are you going to school or a nightclub?’”

- While Madonna and her daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon may share clothes, the Queen of Pop has some words about what her fashion designing daughter cannot wear. Perhaps Madonna should’ve thought about that before hiring stripper-styled Taylor Momsen to front their Material Girl collection.

Madonna and daughter Lourdes borrows clothes from her daughter’s wardrobe.

The 51-year-old singer - who recently launched teen clothing range, Material Girl, with 13-year-old Lourdes - often steals her daughter’s style.

“Oh my God. Like…all the time! But she does the same thing to me now. But it’s so annoying, like, like, because my feet skipped her shoe size, and it’s so frustrating,” Lourdes said when asked if she ever takes clothes from her mother’s wardrobe.

Meanwhile, the “Celebration” hitmaker revealed that she loved working with Lourdes, but admitted they didn’t always agree on everything: “I think we complement each other but we do disagree on a few things. I wouldn’t have worn this flannel shirt thing but she looks good in it so what are you going to do. I’m a very proud mum tonight.”

“Yes there were definitely clashes but you know it all worked out in the end,” Lourdes agreed.

Madonna Sued Over Material Girl Line

Madonna and daughter LourdesWhile may be the Material Girl, she may not be allowed to use the name for her clothing line.

The Queen of Pop - who worked on a range of clothes entitled Material Girl with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes - is being sued by LA Triumph for using the same name as their clothing collection.

“Our client and its predecessor have been continually selling similar clothes in similar retail outlets at similar price points under the Material Girl brand since at least 1997 and Madonna and her new-found company do not have the right to trade in the same space under this brand,” lawyer Peter Afrasiabi told X17online.

Chris Arledge, an intellectual property lawyer, added, “As a result of their acts, our client faces a risk of being subsumed by Madonna’s profile, obvious worldwide notoriety and the massive spending campaign by Madonna, her company and retailers on her behalf.”

LolaStyle runs in the family! ‘s daughter has started her own fashion blog.

Lourdes, 13, helped her superstar mother create her new clothing line, The Material Girl Collection, and now she has taken to the internet to promote the line and says the clothes will reflect some of her personal taste.

“Helluuur thurrrr, I’m Lola and this is my first blog entry so it’s kind of like ummmm.. I’m just going to use this blog entry to tell y’all a little bit about myself. I am totally obsessive about 80’s shorts. You know the kind that makes your butt look kinda big, with a grunge-looking shirt tucked in. It’s kinda nerdy but I love it. And the 80’s are another huge obsession of mine, which is totally amazingly awesome because Material Girl. HELLO! It’s like 80’s themed, which pretty much rocks, so yeah (sic).”

Madonna has previously said their clothing range has been inspired by Lourdes’ likes and dislikes: “It is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine.”

The collection - which will be launched in August - are for department store Macy’s and start from $12.
