Henry Holland Wins BFC Fashion Forward Sponsorship

Henry Holland is "delighted" to have been awarded sponsorship through the British Fashion Council's Fashion Forward scheme.
The 28-year-old designer - who was joined by fellow womenswear creators Louise Gray and Mary Katrantzou and menswear designer James Long in receiving the prestigious accolade - will receive a cash prize to assist him in showcasing collections for the next two consecutive seasons at London Fashion Week.
"I'm delighted to be receiving Fashion Forward sponsorship. It is a huge accolade for the brand and I am excited about what the future holds."
Established six years ago to provide funding to emerging British design talent, the BFC's Fashion Forward sponsorship has previously been awarded to the likes of Christopher Kane, Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders and Erdem.

Big cat T-shirts are set to be a huge trend this season. A host of celebrities - including Daisy Lowe, Taylor Momsen, Ashley Tisdale and Frankie Sandford - have been donning the feline print tops in recent weeks and they are now set to take the fashion world by storm.
Following on from winter’s leopard print trend, the cat patterns give the look a fresh feel and look great under blazers, teamed with leggings and denim. One fashion insider said, “Big cat T-shirts are a continuation of winter’s leopard print trend. They’re the micro-trend of the moment and make you look really confident. They also look great with all the big summer looks, like denim shorts and leggings.”
Another look set to take off is tribal prints, with Nicola Roberts, Naomi Campbell and Kim Kardashian all wearing them recently. In order to pull-off the look, wearers must be quite bold with their choices and not worry about being perfectly matching.

Lady Gaga Fan Henry Holland

Henry Holland wants to dress Lady Gaga. The British designer is a huge fan of the eccentric “Bad Romance” singer’s sense of style and would love to work with her - but only if she agreed with his ideas.
“I’d love to dress Gaga but I’d be too terrified to tell her what to wear.It would have to be a collaborative process.”
The designer’s close friend, model Agyness Deyn, also confessed to being a big fan of Gaga and her quirky fashion ideas after seeing her promoting a new MAC lipstick. Agyness told Now, “I was inspired.”
Henry and Gaga should get along fine if the designer creates an outfit with lots of accessories - including high-heeled shoes. The singer said recently, “I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels. I’d never give up my wigs and hats for anything. You see legendary people taking out their trash, I think it’s destroying showbusiness.”
