The face of the Fall 2012 Material Girl marketing campaign said, "I had so much fun shooting this campaign." The photo shoot took place at the rehearsal for Madonna's MDNA tour at Nassau Coliseum in May.

She added that her experience growing up on tour with her father enabled her to channel what Madonna and her daughter Lourdes has in mind for the line of clothing's new season: "I spent a lot of my childhood backstage hanging out around amps. That was where we chilled when we were younger. So this photo shoot brought back a lot of memories. I have always admired Madonna's music and style; she is constantly reinventing herself."

Georgia May Jagger Mocked Modeling

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Models,

Georgia May JaggerGeorgia May Jagger used to "make fun of" modeling.

The 20-year-old beauty - who is the daughter of rocker Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall - insists she never had any plans to embark on a fashion career, but her mother knew she would always follow in her footsteps.

"I was really not that into it. I always thought my mum was super-glamorous and I loved her clothes, but I was against modeling and would even make fun of it. Of course now, Mum's like, 'Ha, ha, told you,'" she said.

The blonde star also admitted she is surprised that her career has lasted so long as she knows it is unusual to stay a popular face: "I still don't expect it when I get jobs. The reason I thought my own modeling career would be a bit of a phase is because of my mum and Lizzie, who know what the industry is like. I just thought I'd model for one season. Sometimes models do last a long time, like my mum, but that's not really very common."

Georgia May Jagger ‘Thrilled’ to Work with Madonna

Lourdes Georgia May Jagger is "thrilled" to be working with Madonna and her daughter Lourdes on their fashion line.

The model was announced as the new face of Material Girl on Wednesday and says she is delighted to work with Madonna because the "Gimme All Your Luvin" singer is one of her style icons.

"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola [Lourdes] as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing. It all came together rather quickly. My agent received a call from the Material Girl team saying Lola and Madonna wanted to work together with me.
From talking with Lola, she and her mum liked my style and thought it would be a good fit. I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with her and Lola. I dressed up like her for a school dance once! The campaign will break this summer. I'm sworn to secrecy until then, but we shot in New York and it was great fun," she said.

The 20-year-old model- whose parents are Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger - is also the face of Rimmel London and is currently in Paris shooting a campaign for Hudson Jeans.

Georgia Jagger Happy With Curves, Dad’s Vintage

Georgia May Jagger for Hudson JeansGeorgia Jagger is glad she has her mother's looks, because she can model jeans. The aspiring model - daughter of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and his ex-wife, former model Jerry Hall - recently starred in a campaign for Hudson jeans, which she said suited a "sexier" fuller-figured woman, rather than the skinnier frame of her older sister Lizzy.

"When mum was first modeling, it was all about that Thierry Mugler woman with the tiny waist and the giant a**. They used to pad their hips. I think it's much sexier. Lizzy and my dad are naturally skinny. I model jeans. You need a bum for those," the 18 year-old said.

Georgia - who has also appeared in a campaign for Rimmel cosmetics and has walked the runway for Chanel - also said she was shocked when she saw the sexy results of her Hudson campaign, in which she was photographed topless but covering her modesty. "My mum did a lot of very provocative work with Helmut Newton. She understands. It is pretty crazy, though. I didn't think that it was going to be on giant billboards everywhere. I'm sort of like, 'Oh, God!'"

She also added that she has managed to steal some of her father's wardrobe for her own, adding to Harper's Bazaar: "But just 60s and 70s stuff. The newer stuff dad still owns. Most of the costumes look iconic in pictures, but up close, they're terrible, covered in plastic beads meant to look like rhinestones. My dad has more sparkly stuff than most men."

Karl Lagerfeld Loves Georgia May Jagger

Georgia May Jagger in Chanel Resort 2011Karl Lagerfeld says is the perfect choice to model Chanel.

The creative director of the renowned fashion house was hugely impressed when the 18-year-old rising catwalk star modeled ‘s Cruise 2010 Saint-Tropez collection in Cannes last week and thinks it is the start of successful working union.

He told UK, “Miss Jagger is the modern girl. She is the girl of today. There is a total identification between her and the clothes. They could be her clothes. She is totally at home in Chanel. And that fits in the pattern of what Saint-Tropez can represent, what it is not really and yet what it can inspire.”

The British Model of the Year also appears in the lookbook for the new collection.
