Fergie Becomes Face of Wet ‘n’ Wild

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, News,

FergieFergie has become the new face of Wet 'n' Wild.

The Black Eyed Peas singer is the beauty brand's first celebrity spokeswoman and she says it feels right because she has links to the Markwins Beauty Products Inc.-owned company:

"For me, this is really no risk whatsoever; it has always been a part of my life, so it is natural to me. I like to dive into things that haven't been done before. That keeps me stimulated. Otherwise, life is boring. In Hacienda Heights, there were a lot of beautiful chola girls. They wore Wet 'n' Wild. I would watch them put on their eyeliners and lip liners at school. The big thing for the eyeliners was to heat them up and put on the black eyeliners smooth. They would also line their lips with dark lip liner....Their faces were like palettes. I would try to emulate them. Eric Chen, who is the [Markwins] owner, was like 30 seconds to a minute away from me growing up. He saw girls like me stocking up on those lip liners and eyeliners."

Fergie also says she agreed to work with the brand because their products are affordable yet still good quality: "I like something accessible, something that my fans can afford. It feels good to be a partner with brands my fans can afford because they have helped me get to where I am today. All the brands that I am partnering with my fans can afford."

Fashion Police: Fergie is Too Cool For Zippers

Fergie

Something tells me that Fergie ought to be looking for another stylist. Or maybe she just ought to purchase borrow designer dresses that fit her properly.

The Black Eyed Peas singer was spotted at a Los Angeles In Style event wearing this Jean-Charles de Castelbajac number. While a dress that features Felix the Cat in a rather religious-looking light is already questionable (de Castelbajac is known for slapping pop culture all over his eccentric pieces), the larger concern is the back of the dress, which clearly cannot be zipped up all the way. While we all get a bit sad when our favorite dresses don't quite fit anymore, it beats the embarrassment of wearing something that is obviously two sizes too small for you. Just let it go, Fergie -- I'm sure there were better looks in your closet than this!

Is she making a statement about how we should never leave a favorite dress behind, or has she completely lost her sense of style?

Fergie for Outspoken

Apparently it’s a rite of passage in the music industry to bottle up a scent and slap one’s name on it these days. is the latest of the celebrities to do so, having teamed up with Avon to produce her fragrance called Outspoken.

“From my music to my wardrobe, my style is all about speaking up and making a statement. Outspoken definitely turns heads, but it also lets your true personality shine through.”

Although the product won’t hit stores until September, the Black Eyed Peas singer has released some teaser promotional images to prompt fans’ anticipation. Can anyone resist an ad like that?
