Joan Rivers Criticizes Lena Dunham

Joan Rivers and Lena Dunham

Joan Rivers has blasted Lena Dunham for embracing her curves.

The Fashion Police host accused the Girls creator and star of "sending a message out to people that it's OK to stay fat and get diabetes" by refusing to conform to Hollywood's super skinny stereotype. Speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius FM radio show, the 80-year-old comedienne advised the 27-year-old Golden Globe-winning star, "Don't let them laugh at you physically. I'm saying if you look the way you look Lena, that's fine and you're funny, but don't say it's OK that other girls look like this, tell them to try and look better."

Fashion Police: Brad and Angie’s His and Her Tuxes

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities,

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the BAFTAs

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt must think that couples who dress together are those who stay together...

The A-list couple were spotted on the BAFTA red carpet today wearing tuxes. While Angie's was clearly more suited for feminine wear (plunging neckline, 3/4 sleeves, see-through blouse, and undone bowtie hanging around her neck), Brad opted for a fairly traditional look. Is their matching formal wear adorably and fashionably cute or just downright annoying?

Kristen Stewart Still Embarrassed About ‘Panic Room’ Outfit

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities,

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart is still embarrassed about an outfit she wore when she was 11.

The Snow White and the Huntsman star still smarts when she thinks about her styling at the premiere of 2002's Panic Room - one of her early movies - which consisted of a long black trench coat over a green dress and blocky trainers.

"My biggest fashion regret? I think the pictures that they took at the premiere of Panic Room. It's like a popular image to show from when I was younger, you know, like, 'She was a kid!' And I look at that and I'm like, 'Oh... my... gosh.' It shouldn't be embarrassing because I was so young. But it doesn't even matter how young you are, you're just so, so embarrassed," she said.

Kristen, now 23, admits she was "completely goofy" as a child, and even hates her hair in the pictures. "I had like these baby hairs and I was being weird about them, so I was like, 'I'm just gonna cut them off.' And I had like these little things like poking out from under my hair and behind my ears, and a ridiculous outfit. I did not know how to get dressed up at that age at all, I didn't even know what I liked. I was just like completely... a goofy kid," she added.

Hayden Panettiere in Tom Ford+ Just as Christian Louboutins are known for their red heels, Sarah Jessica Parker is setting her own shoe trademark: grosgrain ribbons stitched to the back of the heels. The Sex and the City actress - who made Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo household names - talks freely about the inspiration and production of her own shoe collection (which Blahnik had a hand in designing himself!).

+ Despite being the latest Pantene Pro-V spokesmodel, Gisele Bundchen admits that her hair is constantly brushed by other people in her career that she doesn't even own a hairbrush. So, ladies: brushes are so passé these days.

+ While here at ChicDish we released the previews of Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign - which features Elizabeth Olsen, Elle Fanning, and Lupita Nyong'o - the label put out more ads featuring the actresses (as well as some featuring Dark Shadows actress Bella Heathcote). Check them out here!

Quote of the Day: Jennifer Lawrence on ‘The Fashion Police’

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, News,

Jennifer Lawrence

"There are shows like The Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it's OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat. 'They call it 'fun' and they say 'welcome to the real world' - and that shouldn't be the real world, it's going to continue being the real world if we keep it that way. We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat."

- Jennifer Lawrence takes a stand against body shaming in the media. Don't you just love every word that comes out of this woman's mouth?

Fashion Police: Elle Fanning Knows How to Wear Rodarte

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers,

Elle Fanning

Can we just take a minute to bask in the elegance and awesomesauce that is Elle Fanning's style?

The 15 year-old (I know, it's not fair, right?) showed up in this fabulous Rodarte Spring 2013 look to the Hammer Museum on Monday night, where Rodarte and Todd Cole presented their film collaborations. The sleek sheer over the skirt matched with a very feminine take on a tuxedo top make for one brilliant gown, which Elle effortlessly and goodness knows glamourously wore to the event.

Fanning's look is a breath of fresh air among tacky Halloween costumes and previous questionable fashions.

Fashion Police: An Indecisive Miley Cyrus

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities,

Miley Cyrus

Forget her faithful, little Monsters - Lady Gaga has her own Mini-Me running around Los Angeles: her name is Miley Cyrus.

The bipolar antics of her rumored new beau Justin Bieber must have rubbed off on the TV star-turned-pop star, as she showed up to a MySpace event in Los Angeles in a hybrid of jeans and sweat pants. While I consistently admire her daring fashion risks, this particular look may have clashed just a bit too much - perhaps it would have been better for a more casual outing? Will her jean/sweat pant hybrids become a fashion fav, or is Miley just off the mark completely?

Billboard Music Awards 2013: the Good, the Bad, and the Sparkly

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, News,

Nicki MinajWhile the Billboard Music Awards are no Met Gala, one would hope that the celebrities would at least aspire to such style for the event. Judging from the various frocks that graced Billboard's blue carpet, however, the musically-inclined celebs failed to put much effort into this awards show. Whether it was the Las Vegas heat or some overextended stylists (between the Met Gala, Cannes, and this, who can blame them?), the fashion at the Billboard Music Awards fell short with a few good looks and way too many shine-inducing materials.

The Good: American Idol judge Nicki Minaj, known for her colorful and over-the-top costumes, scaled back her look by opting for a red number which made her cleavage take center stage and yet still managed to look classy.

Country pop singer Shania Twain showed up in a silver-white Pavoni by Mikael D gown looking like a modern-day Greek goddess.

Hayden Panettiere - who currently stars in the country music television drama Nashville - opted for black like many others in attendance, but her simple, sleek floor-length dress was the best of them all.

Are onesies the new (and legitimately fashionable ) Snuggie?

Whether you love her or you loathe her, you have got to admit that Miley Cyrus has made many bold fashion statements in her young life. The 20 year-old pop star snapped up this photo of herself for micro-blogging site Twitter, showing off her Chanel onesie with the caption, "Don't hate. Appreciate. #Chanel1Z." Is she rocking the sleepwear look, or is the future Mrs. Hemsworth going off the fashion deep end?

Swinton, 52, dressed up as "The Stars (Are Coming Out Tonight)" singer at the unveiling of the his exhibition, David Bowie is, at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. From her perfectly coiffed short hair down to her glistening blazer and wide-legged pants, the We Need to Talk About Kevin star could pass as Bowie's twin sister.

Truthfully, Swinton - who starred in the music video for Bowie's latest single - sees him more of a cousin. "I've been a  Bowie fan since the age of 12. So to work with him was well.... He's my cousin," Swinton said.

Other stars like Rosario Dawson, Matt Smith, and Chloe Delevigne appeared at the opening for the exhibition - which runs from March 23 to August 11 and features a retrospective of Bowie's career - though none clearly looked as stunning as Tilda!
