Rachel ZoeListen up, ladies! says miniskirts are the must-have fashion item of the moment.

The celebrity stylist is a huge fan of shorter hemlines as she thinks they help flatter figures, but also has some advice for women who would prefer to cover up in jeans: “Mini is the length that’s happening right now. Shorter skirts elongate legs. But if you want most of your legs covered, add turn-ups to a boyfriend jean to expose a bit of the ankle. With a skinny jean, scrunch them up your calves.

Blazers are still big news this season, and Rachel recommends giving them a personal touch, saying, “The sleeves are the boxiest bit, so bunch them up to taper them. Pin a brooch in the back to tighten it up and give it a little bit of flavor.”

As for hair, Rachel - who has worked with a host of celebrities including Cameron Diaz and - advises not going too styled as a messy look gives a great contrast. She told Britain’s Glamour magazine, “Don’t dress like you’re in a beauty pageant - if you’re in a super glamorous gown, mess up your hair a little bit.”

Victoria Beckham Denim

Our favorite Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is set to relaunch her denim line, dVb (now simply Victoria Beckham Denim), for Spring/Summer ‘10 and we’ve got the lookbook here!

Expected to run about $235 for a pair (more affordable than her dress collection, I’ll say), the range includes an array of cigarette pants, boyfriend jeans, as well as jackets and denim skirts. Judging by the photos, Beckham again offers a simple yet sexy and timeless look—quite possibly Posh Spice meets The Row (minus the latter’s expensive prices)?

Check out the rest of the pictures after the break!

Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer '10Janet Jackson attended the Ralph Lauren fashion show last Friday.

The 43-year-old singer sat in the front row of the New York Fashion Week show alongside the legendary designer’s family. When asked what her favorite look was, Janet replied, “I love them all!”

Ralph’s Spring/Summer ‘10 collection saw models embracing the “resilient spirit” of the nation and its work ethic. Among the looks featured were silver-sequined slashed jeans, work shirts, and metallic blue lame gowns with details of a workman’s coverall.

The designer, who’s known for his classic sportswear brand, said that he wanted his blue-hued collection to reflect the nation’s drive during the recent economic problems: “Hard times seem to sharpen our capacity for idealism and our optimism that tomorrow will be a better day. I am inspired by the character of the worker, the farmer, the cowboy, the pioneer women of the prairies living authentically through challenging times.”

His collection also featured 30s-inspired delicate floral-print dresses and contrasting, tailored denim styles.

A look from Zac Posen's Spring/Summer '10 collectionZac Posen’s New York Fashion Week show was accompanied by music from Mark Ronson.

The fashion designer showed his Spring/Summer ‘10 collection at The Altman Building at 9am, after being forced to move his showcase from its usual evening slot. Undeterred by the early hour, Zac had the building transformed into a nightclub, complete with curving runway, low lights, and music from the renowned super-producer.

The clothes were created from an eye-popping pallet of pink, orange, lime, fuschia and cobalt, often mixed and matched to form clashing combinations. Off-the-shoulder dresses with pleated skirts, ‘60s-style macs, sweater dresses, and knitted maxi-dresses all made an appearance. Jackets with structured shoulders were also a big look, along with draped trousers which emphasized hips.

The finale, witnessed by celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, included a series of beautifully-made evening gowns in black, cobalt, and silver mesh, with some boasting sequins.

Women love their mini skirts

Women up to the age of 40 are wearing shorter skirts than ever before. In the 80s women generally discarded the mini after the age of 33, but new research shows females are now prepared to flash their flesh for longer.

Spokesman for UK store Debenhams Ed Watson said,

“It shows that women now have an increasing confidence in their bodies and are happy to dress accordingly. If this trend continues, there is no doubt that, within the next decade, women in their mid-40s and early-50s will rightly regard a mini skirt as an essential part of their everyday wardrobe.”

.Anna Sui for Target

As if the fall release date wasn’t torturous enough, fans of Anna Sui and Gossip Girl now have the look book to fawn over until then.

The nineteen looks (which you can see after the jump) are based upon the individual styles of Blair, Jenny, Vanessa, and Serena. Of all sets, I think that Blair’s classy, high-collared looks are the cutest; Serena’s monochrome would have won if it weren’t for the vest and leggings with bows. Jenny’s black, red, and white palette strike me as punk-inspired and have potential; however, I tend to fear the prints and patterns used. Vanessa’s set is very bohemian, although I’m not sure as to why they chose such an ugly palette of orange and brown.

You can expect to see Anna Sui’s line hit Target stores and online starting September 13.
