Kate Bosworth jewelryKate Bosworth is releasing a series of short movies to publicize her jewelry collection. Speaking about the collaboration previously, Kate explained she was confident of its success, as she was allowed to work with quality pieces: "I feel like we're just starting to get a really good hold on this experience."I had no interest in signing a contract that would force me to curate pieces I found horrendous."

Angelina Jolie with Robert Procop

Actress Angelina Jolie has teamed with Robert Procop to create a new jewelry line. Jolie has designed a collection with statement stones for Robert Procop Exceptional Jewels and wore one of the pieces - a faceted black spinel necklace bezel set in rose gold - to the Berlin premiere of her film Salt earlier this year.

"Angelina has very classic style. These are pieces she wears herself," Robert, a former Asprey's chief executive who has designed for the actress for 10 years, told WWD.

Pieces from the collection - which will be priced individually - will be sold privately through the designer's network of clients, with all proceeds going to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, a charity co-founded by Jolie that aims to help children who are the victims of war and natural disasters.

Christina Applegate has designed a necklace to raise money for charity.

The actress, who has successfully fought breast cancer, has teamed up jewelery designer Alex Woo to create a new pendant in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, with the proceeds going to her Right Action for Women foundation.

“This piece reminds me so much of the roses I made out of ribbons for my friends and family while in the hospital. I am so grateful to Alex for creating such a beautiful piece to benefit Right Action for Women. Proceeds from the necklace will help women at high risk for breast cancer get the screenings and testing they need to beat this disease,” said Christina, who is pregnant with her first child.

The tree and branches within the pendant come in either gold and silver and represent balance, peace, harmony and the curves of a woman, while the seven leaves are designed to signify each day of the week, reminding women to live everyday to the fullest. The necklace can be purchased from alexwoo.com.

Julianne Moore for Bulgari

For a city known for its Renaissance paintings that feature plenty of women wearing little clothing in a continent that seems to wonder why many Americans fear nudity, it may come as a shock to many that Venice, Italy has banned the above Bulgari ad, starring actress from its scheduled billboard duties.

“An advertisement showing a nude woman on a divan is not appropriate for St Mark’s Square,” Mayor Giorgio Orsoni said.

While Moore may not have clothes on, the smiling, playful lion cubs seem to diffuse the expected sexual charge of the photo. That, of course, wasn’t enough for the folks who oversee what is posted around their city…

Nicky Hilton and sister Paris shoppingMoving on from her handbag designing, has created a costume jewelry collection.

The 26-year-old heiress, who has previously designed handbags and had her own clothing line, has fulfilled a long-held ambition by teaming up with Titan Brands for the “affordable” range.

“I’m a crazy jewelry collector. I’ve always known since I was a teenager that I wanted to do a line. Whenever I bought something, whether at a flea market in Paris or a bazaar in India, I’ve been collecting pieces.”

Nicky claims she has been approached by “tons and tons” of different firms but only agreed a deal when she met Chad C. Haggar, Titan Brands’ CEO.: “He really shared my vision of high quality without the high price tags.”

The line is divided into three collections, Art Deco - which is inspired by jewelry worn by her mother and grandmother - the classic Deco pieces in Spike, and Snakes, which is described as “contemporary edgy.” Priced wholesale from $35 to $480, the range will be sold exclusively through Endless.com from the autumn, before Nicky embarks on plans to expand though department and specialty stores.

Rachel BilsonIt was only a matter of time before the ever-so-stylish delved into the jewelry world. What better way to start than with designing a diamond bracelet?

The 28-year-old actress created the jewelery to benefit the Diamond Empowerment Fund, a non-profit organization that supports education in Africa, and will donate a portion of sales revenue to the cause. Rachel was inspired to help after visiting Botswana and South Africa last month to learn about improvements made in the diamond mining industry there and wanted to do all she could to promote the cause.

The bracelet is made up of brown leather cords, with a gold charm framing a dainty round diamond. The accessory retails for $100, with $20 from the sale of each piece going to the Diamond Empowerment Fund to build student housing at the CIDA City Campus, a university in Johannesburg which is the country’s first to be virtually free. The jewelery is being sold exclusively through InStyle.com.

This is not Rachel’s first venture into design - she also has her own clothing range Edie Rose, but admits she struggles with some of the processes: “I can’t draw at all, so I won’t be doing any sketches, but I am learning to sew. I think it’s important to know more about the whole process of making clothes.”

Kate MossKate Moss was so taken with a fellow guest’s bracelet at a recent wedding she bought it off her straightaway.

The supermodel became smitten with jewelery designer Ann Dexter-Jones’ accessory during a mutual friend’s nuptials and insisted she wanted it immediately. So Kate’s friend and boss - billionaire retailer and head of Topshop Sir Philip Green - offered Ann a large sum of money for the bracelet.

“She was so crazy to wear it so Sir Philip Green insisted Kate have it immediately and bought it for her right off my wrist.”

But Ann - who designed the black onyx, black diamond, solid gold and silver bauble, as part of her new jewelery line - wasn’t too upset because as well as the money, Kate also gave her another bracelet to wear. She told the New York Post, “And Kate gave me her Chanel bracelet as a gift, so that my wrist wasn’t bare.”

Ann’s line, Ann Dexter-Jones, debuts this week.

Jessica Szohr as Vanessa Abrams on Gossip GirlJessica Szohr thinks her Gossip Girl character would die if she didn’t wear accessories.

The brunette actress, who plays beauty Vanessa Abrams in the hit show, believes her on-screen persona’s penchant for extravagant jewelery is so severe she wouldn’t survive without wearing dramatic accessories.

“I actually don’t think Vanessa can breathe without eight necklaces or earrings! Vanessa is very funk’defied.”

As a consequence, Jessica likes to stick to a more basic wardrobe. “My style is much more simple. Because of this, I like to wear accessories to add a little sparkle to the outfit,” she said.

However, the 24-year-old actress admits she likes wearing statement rings and a quirky pair of sunglasses:

“You can never really go wrong with sunglasses. I always get myself a couple of pairs every year. One pair that I have had and have managed not to lose is an old vintage pair I found in Venice Beach, California. They also have to be a little bit funky and fun at the same time. But I don’t think people should wear sunglasses at night. I’m always wearing some kind of big ring, too.”
