Amber Rose at Celestino

Clearly unaffected by boyfriend Kanye West’s outburst at the VMAs, Amber Rose made her runway debut for Celestino at New York Fashion Week.

Rose walked the finale look, shuffling down the runway in a strapless wedding dress with an extra-long train. To her credit, she made it down and back without falling, although it was most likely due to her careful steps in the sky-high stilettos.

Despite fans like Russell Simons and Jojo showing up for support, Rose reportedly bolted after the show (most likely to avoid questions about Kanye).

A piece from the Victoria Beckham CollectionVictoria Beckham is “amazed” by the popularity of her clothing line.

The singer-turned-fashion-designer presented her third dress collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday and said that she finally feels she has broken into the industry properly.

Referring to her soccer-star husband David Beckham, she said, “I know I used to be in a pop group, and I’m married to a footballer—a very lovely footballer. But I’m grateful that people are prepared to leave their preconceptions at the door and let the dresses speak for themselves. The sell-through has been amazing.”

Victoria showed her latest line in an art gallery and revealed that she has decided to focus on legs, rather than cleavage, for the Spring/Summer ‘10 collection.

“I think it looks more attractive, and it’s what my customers want.”

The dresses have higher corsets than previous ones, and while some graze the thigh, her knee and full-length styles also make an appearance. Colors include cerise, raspberry, black and gray, and many have blown-up shoulder pads, with Victoria claiming they “make your waist look so much smaller.”

Victoria’s dress range has proved a hit with celebrities, with Elle Macpherson, Madonna, and Brooke Shields all being spotted in outfits from the collection recently.

Patrick RobinsonPatrick Robinson is “honored” to be co-hosting next year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala.

The creative director of Gap, who will be presiding over the fashion event alongside Oprah Winfrey, is particularly taken with the event’s theme, “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.”

“Gap is honored to be invited by The Met to participate—supporting art and culture has always been at the heart of the brand. We are excited by the theme as this feels like a really natural fit—hopefully in our 40 years we have done just this by delivering versatile American style. I love that this exhibition speaks to how the American woman is multi-dimensional—she’s about high fashion, and she’s about everyday fashion. Which is why I’m thrilled Oprah is our co-chair for the Gala benefit as she epitomizes this versatility and has played such a significant part in shaping everything about today’s woman.”

Patrick is equally as thrilled with the way Gap’s latest collection has been received. He explained that the Pierre Hardy boots, T-shirts with silk pockets, and denim gilets are so popular the company has had to start a waiting list. Gap employees can’t get enough of the slim-fitting chinos, boyfriend shirts, and pea coats.

“Look out for our new take on the classic Gap gray sweatshirt—which I predict will be the essential easy luxe piece for 2010.”

Perhaps what the Club Monaco truck will look like?

If Ashley Olsen, Anna Wintour, and P. Diddy can’t get you to attend Fashion’s Night Out, perhaps Club Monaco will!

The retailer plans to celebrate the event by parking a cupcake truck outside their SoHo store (I’m sure shoppers will be in need of a sugar fix to finish the night).

Even if you’re not able to make it to the SoHo store, the rest of the stores city-wide will be celebrating with champagne until eleven.

Dated for the night after Jacobs’s shindig, Gaga’s presence can be credited to Out magazine, of which she appears in this month’s issue.

Givenchy’s new fragrance, Play, is fronted by Justin Timberlake. Can you imagine a Lady Gaga-Timberlake collaboration? I think that the world just might implode at the center of Fashion Week.

Prince performs at Matthew Williamson's 10th anniversary showBritish fashion designer Matthew Williamson‘s career highlight was Prince performing at his show.

The highly-regarded fashion designer says that the most rewarding moment of his working life was being asked by the eccentric pop star if he could sing during his renowned 2007 catwalk show, which received a standing ovation.

“Coming in at number one for me would be my 10th-anniversay show for Spring/Summer ‘08. Just 48 hours before kickoff, my PR received a phone call from Prince’s people, saying he wanted to perform at my show.”

As excited as he was, the 37-year-old designer admits that he was unprepared for the pop star’s unusual demands: “He wanted a stage to be built and we were told he needed a white room backstage. We had a black room, but, apparently, he wouldn’t go into that. So we literally staple-gunned white over black fabric. On the day, his manager called to say he was still in bed at London’s Dorchester hotel with an hour to go. Then, just when the show was about to happen, I saw Prince walking in. There was no rehearsal. He just went and sat in the front row. And when his track came on, up he got with his mike, and his girls came out and did their performance down the skinny little runway.”

A young Heidi KlumDespite her entrepreneurial and worldwide fame, Heidi Klum “couldn’t book a job” when she started modeling.

The 36-year-old star expected it to be easy to launch her career after winning a $300,000 modeling contract on the 1992 television show Model 92, but initially found it hard to find work.

“After winning I thought, ‘This is my ticket. Things will happen.’ But they didn’t—I could never book a job. I was walking around New York for three or four years,” she explained.

Heidi, who raises three children with husband Seal and is currently pregnant with her fourth, says everything changed for her when she was spotted at a Victoria’s Secret show.

She now regularly makes it onto the Forbes list of highest earning models, raking in $16 million to take the second place in the latest edition.

Jourdan Dunn

Thanks to the comp card that was included in her agency’s show package, a flurry of rumors circled around a very 5-month pregnant Jourdan Dunn and whether or not she would be gracing the catwalks anytime soon.

A representative from Women in New York has cleared up the matter and has confirmed that the 19 year-old model will not be working this season.

Dubbed last year’s Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, Dunn is due this December.
