Alber Elbaz

“I feel that some celebrities think that because they are famous, they can do fashion. Imagine if I want to be now a dancer. Trust me, I can’t. I can’t jump. I can’t even limp from one point to another. I feel that there is this kind of confusion.”

Lady Gaga wears Philip TreacyWhat’s ‘s next step to world domination? Hats.

The “Telephone” singer - famed for her eccentric fashion sense - has approached renowned hat designer Philip Treacy to take her on as an intern so she can learn all the tricks of the trade, but he has yet to give her a definite answer.

“Lady Gaga has requested an internship. But Philip will have to check her sewing skills first,” Treacy’s representative stated.

Gaga - who is thought to have approached the hatmaker at this year’s BRIT Awards - is often seen wearing bizarre headpieces including lobster hats and a telephone on her head. The 24-year-old star is not the first celebrity to want to do a fashion internship.

Last year, revealed his determination to carve out a successful career as a clothes designer and had been writing to fashion houses in Europe - including Louis Vuitton on London’s Bond Street - asking for experience. Kanye said, “I’m going to go and take an internship and just do something that’s like completely normal, and just rap at the weekends or something.”

Lady Gaga in Calvin Klein- At last night’s big Belvedere Pink Grapefruit event in New York, Ashley Olsen revealed that a certain city across the pond will be the inspiration for the pair’s next Olsenboye collection. That’s nice and all, but I’d really appreciate if they’d concentrate on getting the line out of JCPenney.

- While it may not be London who calls for Zac Posen, Paris has caught the American designer’s eye. Posen, who has been unhappy with how New York critics have treated him during fashion week debuts, says that he wants to show in the city of love because “they understand my clothes.”

- With a slew of dark looks lately, Lady Gaga performed at the Rainforest Fund’s 21st Birthday Celebration in an all-white custom Calvin Klein creation. She even wore a light gray wig to match!

- As her younger sister Georgia Jagger steams up the latest Chanel ads, model Elizabeth Jagger is contemplating full-on nude spreads now that she’s getting older. Has she seen Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer lately?

- There’s a new bag in town, and it’s called the Schitbag. If only I made these things up. I’m almost tempted to buy it simply to tout the fact that I have a fashionable schitbag.

Crystal Renn walks for the Chanel Cruise Show

“[Karl] Lagerfeld had cast the show with a slightly more curvaceous model named Crystal Renn, not seen on any catwalk before. This in itself was groundbreaking for the house, but there was also the return of personality models encouraged to be themselves instead of robotic look-alikes.”

Lindsay Lohan's 6126 line

While Lindsay Lohan offered up a nice peak at her 6126 line’s handbags, a more complete view of the ready-to-wear apparel has hit the internet.

Leather, fur, lace, thigh-high boots, and neutral shades dominate the line, which features LiLo herself (big surprise there). Additionally, you’ll be able to spot a younger Lohan in the photos (after the jump) as well as a hunky shirtless guy. The line is cute, but there’s nothing in the line that I couldn’t get at Forever 21 or . If you still want to snag a few of these pieces, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until this fall.

Gemma Arterton in Balmain S/S 2009Much like A-list actress Anne Hathaway, Prince of Persia starlet Gemma Arterton refuses to conform to Hollywood’s idea of the perfect figure.

The stunning actress is a UK size 8-10 (US 4-6) and while she’s still very slim, it is regarded as big in the movie world but Gemma won’t risk her health in a bid to fit into a smaller size.

“I went to a designer the other day, who will remain nameless, and he said to me, ‘I’m amazed that you’re fitting into those sample sizes.’ And I thought, ‘Hang on a minute! I’m a size eight to 10! I should be amazed that the largest you’re making these in a size six.’ But the only way I could ever be a size six is if I didn’t eat. I’m not naturally meant to be that size, and I just feel like there’s a responsibility for people that aren’t that size to make that known. All I can do, I think, is try to look good. I have things made for me, so they fit.”

Gemma, 24, also chooses designers which cater for women with a curvier figure. She told Stylist, “ always makes things in decent sizes that look good on anyone who has hips and a waist. And I really like L’Wren Scott, Alberta Ferretti, Givenchy, Balmain and Armani. I only wear this stuff at event. The rock ‘n’ roll look is more my sort of thing.”

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger

A stylish look is never complete without a picnic basket…

A favorite of Karl Lagerfeld, it’s no surprise that model-turned-actress appeared at the Chanel Cruise Show in St. Tropez last night. Kruger, who is the new face of Calvin Klein’s fragrance Beauty, paired a Chanel high-waisted bell-shaped skirt with a simple black tank and fedora in addition to the somewhat-out-of-place basket.

Over the top or just right for a prim and proper party?

Karl Lagerfeld in Paris was joined by a host of beauties as he unveiled his new film last night.

The designer proudly premiered his short movie, Remember Now (check it out after the jump!), in the St. Tropez, South of France - just two days before the Cannes Film Festival - with Diane Kruger, Karolina Kurkova, Vanessa Paradis and Georgia May Jagger all there to show their support.

Karl - who is in town to show his Chanel Cruise collection - told WWD, “When I do a film, I see the movie before I’ve made it. I don’t make scripts because it’s written in my head. I like short one-liners.” The 17-minute film - which was screened at the town’s Cinema de la Renaissance - captures the good-natured summer hedonism of the beautiful area, which has become a playground for the rich and famous. Karl was allowed total control over the creative process and one of the stars of the film, Elisa Sednaoui, was impressed with his talents.

“Karl is a very spontaneous and creative director. He’s very responsive and alive for that. There’s no indecision, but he adapts himself,” Sednaoui said.
