Tom Ford Represents Real Women

Tom Ford's Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Tom Ford says women of all ages and sizes can wear his clothes.

The designer launched his first womenswear collection in six years in 2010 with a star-studded fashion show, and while many of the models were A-list names, Tom insists his creations suit every type of female.

"The collection was designed for different women of different ages, with different body types and different personalities. Whoever you are, what we do is help you develop your own individual style."

Tom, who made his directorial debut in 2009's A Single Man, says he decided to return to womenswear because he felt he could come up with fresh and relevant designs.

"When I got back into fashion with fragrance and eyewear, I wasn't sure I was going to do anything more than that. I did not want to do womenswear until I had something new to say."

As well as womenswear, Tom is continuing with menswear and fragrances as he wants everybody to experience quality products: "I see the Tom Ford brand as a place where a man or woman of any age who appreciates quality can go to find beautifully made clothes, accessories, a range of fragrances, cosmetics and beauty products."
