LaMarcus AldridgeDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!  Please note that this is the fantasy basketball section of ElevationMag.com’s Daily Top Picks. The Fig Cap: Was there a Kobe sighting last night?

No LeBron, No Problem!

The Cleveland Cavaliers locked horns with the Sacramento Kings last night, though without King James due to a bout with back spasms.  The Cavaliers brought home the win, along with producing three of the top fantasy lines of the evening.  Sasha Pavlovic had a very efficient evening going 8-13 from the floor and 6-6 from the line en route to a 25 point night, including three from downtown.  Pavlovic also added six assists and two steals.  Zydrunas Ilgauskas came alive and nearly went for a triple-double with 19 points, 10 boards, seven assists and two blocks.  Big Z was 7-9 from the field, and a perfect 5-5 from the line.  Not only did Larry Hughes come just shy of 50% from the floor (a feat in itself), but he was also perfect (4-4) from the line last night while dropping 25 points, six rebounds, seven assists, three treys, three steals, and two blocks.  It looks like Larry is loving his new point guard roll.  Now it’s just a matter of wondering what took so long to implement this switch.

The point guards of the league were at it again!  Chris Paul went double-double with 25 points and twelve dimes on top of his six boards and three makes from long range.  Jason Kidd put up his typical 18 points and 12 boards, but fell a bit short of the triple-double by only pulling down six boards.  He did compensate a bit for that by adding four steals.  Allen Iverson lit up the Trailblazers with his 31 points, 10 assists, six boards, five (FIVE) steals, and a block.  Another amazing AI stat from last night was the fact that he got to the line 16 times…converting on 14 of the attempts.  In a losing effort for the Pacers, Jamaal Tinsley was the lone bright spot dropping a huge 37 points, six boards, six assists, four steals, four treys and a perfect 7-7 from the line.  It’s not often you’ll get a 7-7 from a 72% free throw shooter.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention LaMarcus Aldridge’s solid evening.  The rookie went for 24 points, 17 boards and four huge blocks.  The 2-5 from the line could use some work, but the 11-17 from the floor definitely helped the good ‘ol field goal percentage.

And the line of the night, you ask?

Josh Smith.  26 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, four steals, three blocks, one trey, 11-20 from the floor, and 3-4 from the line.  J Smoove was J Huuuge.

Catch you on the rebound…
