DescriptionDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about the team looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!

The Fig Cap: Levitation leads to game-winners

We’re back for another season of DDotD for all you reader folk out there.  Hopefully we can keep these going all year long, but hey - we’ll see.  A ton of fantasy hoops production to discuss today, so I apologize in advance if some people get left out.  Feel free to throw some omitted numbers in the comments - the more the merrier!

I can’t put him in the picture without discussing Ray Allen’s 33 points.  Most of his damage was done via the three-pointer as he nailed seven of them on the night - one of which was the game-winner in OT to sink the Raptors.  Chicks dig the long ball, even from dudes who look like they’re going on 50 years.

His partner in crime, Kevin Garnett, went off again for 23 and 13 with three more steals to add to the books.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least mention one of the Raps, so we’ll go with TJ Ford who led the way with 32 points and five assists.  He added three treys to the night, even though the boys up north fell short.

Solid scoring nights from some forwards: Kevin Durant with 24, Gerald Wilkins with 22 and Corey Maggette draining 13-of-14 free throws to finish with 27.  Quentin Richardson got the time, but couldn’t muster a thing; scoreless in 29 minutes of play.  Well done, Q.

A few big men came to play.  Al Jefferson went for 16 and 12 with a block and a steal; Emeka Okafor finished with 16 points, 13 boards and three blocks; Carlos Boozer went off for 23 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block.  I could’ve done without the five turnovers, however.  Marcus Camby with 21 boards and a block.  Chris Kaman finished it off with 10 points, 15 boards and three blocked shots of his own.

Guards, guards everywhere a guard.  Steve Nash did his thing to the tune of 30 and 10; Derek Fisher showed up to go 13-14 from the line, finshing with 19 points, three boards and five dimes; Jason Richardson led the ‘Cats with 29 points, five boards and six treys.

Lines of the night have to go to Josh Smith and his 13 points, 10 boards, 2 steals and five blocks as well as Chauncey Billups and 22 points, five dimes, three treys, four steals and two blocks of his own.

Anyone else care to share some statistical lovin’?  Let me here it…

Peace.
