The results are in, and we protected our house! And by “we” I mean Dennis Velasco. Our fearless leader managed to hold on and fend off a late rally from Matt Satten to bring home the title!

It came down to D’s hustle stats trumping Matt’s bread-and-butter excellence in the percentages, points and assists.

My team? Well, being last in turnovers plus the injuries to Ray Allen, Lamar Odom and Joe Johnson meant that in the end I’ll have to listen to Dennis self-prop himself all summer. At least I can take solace in the fact that I garner the silver medal when considering just us here at Dropping Dimes.  Ron Chow might have to stick to head-to-head leagues after an 11th place finish; the punishment for finishing last amongst us here will be to wash our dirty socks for a month!

Word has it that Dennis took home the title in his other experts’ league as well.
