Injury Lowdown: When It Rains It Pours - Another Laker Is Injured

Description

Kwame Brown is the latest Laker sidelined with an injury. Kwame will miss three to four weeks with a bruised rotator cuff and bursitis in his right shoulder. He will miss the start of the regular season.

Chris Mihm is still recovering from off-season surgery on his ankle and is not expected to be ready for Opening Night.

Kobe Bryant is recovering from off-season knee surgery and hopes to be ready for the start of the season.

Vladmimir Radmonovic has a sprained ligament in his right hand, which happens to be his shooting hand.

Heck even Coach Phil Jackson is hobbled from a hip replacement surgery.

Stay Away from the water in the Lakers’ locker room.

Fantasy Lowdown:

It is not going to be pretty when they announce the starting line-up for the Lakers on Opening Night. “Starting at Center: #17 Andrew Bynum and starting at Power Forward #43 Brian Cook…” I don’t think this will strike fear in the Lakers’ opponents’ hearts. This could be the reality if Vladimir Radmanovic is not healthy, but if he is then he will start at PF. We could see Luke Walton get a little more burn with the injuries. The biggest fantasy benefactor will be Lamar Odom. He should take charge of the offense in the beginning of the season because Kobe may not be back at 100% due to his knee surgery.  For you H2H freaks, the Lakers have a 4 game week the 1st week of the season so let it ride on Lamar Odom.

Andrew Bynum, Brian Cook, and Luke Walton will not be worthy fantasy additions to your team.  Leave them on the waiver wire.
