Injury Lowdown: Channing Frye out three to six weeks

Description

New York Knicks PF/C Channing Frye is out of order like the office coffee maker for three to six weeks with a left ankle sprain. Frye suffered the injury on Saturday in the game with the Chicago Bulls when he landed on P.J. Brown’s foot after a shot block attempt.

Fantasy Lowdown:

Time to bring out the leather pants and clear the dust from the 1984 Van Halen album because it is time to rock and roll with PF/SF David Lee “Roth”! David Lee has been declared the starter while Channing Frye is recovering from his sprained ankle. Lee has been averaging close to a double-double as the Knicks super sub with 9.9 points and 9.2 rebounds and with the additional burn he could easily average 14 points and 11 boards as a starter. Just like a giggolo stealing ladies’ hearts, Lee is adept at swiping the rock at 1.3 steals/game. Lee is not a shot blocker with only 2 blocks in 15 games. When Frye returns from his injury, Lee will return back to the bench, so enjoy the David Lee “Roth” the rocker and not the radio personality performance with double-doubles in Frye’s absence.
