Dropping Dimes On The Daily: January 11, 2007

Kirk HinrichDropping Dimes On The Daily is all about me looking at the previous night’s performances and mentioning those that did pretty goodly and those that did pretty badly.  Goodly is a word, right?  Anyway, this will be a quick look around the league, so don’t expect a ton of text, just some daily fantasy basketball goodness!!!  Please note that this is the fantasy basketball section of ElevationMag.com’s Daily Top Picks.  Check it out and see your daily rumors, quotes, headlines, and facts!  But read the fantasy section HERE!
The Fig Cap: “Hello, people!  Wake up because I had a great game last night!”

Well, it looks like Kirk Hinrich decided to score ALL of his points for the week last night, hanging 33 points, including six triples, on the Wizards last night.  Seriously, Hinrich hasn’t really been scoring the way many drafted him for, so this game was good for his owners.  He’ll probably score four points tonight against the Nets now… Dwight Howard decided to flex his muscles, scoring 30 points and grabbing 25 boards… Welcome back, Dwyane Wade - 29/5/13… Juwan Howard is SERIOUS when he tells you, “Don’t Yao worry about us” - 23 points, 11 boards, and a BIG win against the Lakers… In the battle between two crappy teams (Hawks and Hornets), Jannero Pargo was the shiniest turd as he scored 24 points, cleaned the glass five times, dropped seven dimes, and ripped two rocks in only 30 minutes of play.  C’mon, Chris Paul, reveal yourself - you’re really disguising yourself as Pargo, right?... Maybe that Nick Collison needs to be thought about in standard-sized leagues because he followed up his stellar game the other night with 21/9, including hitting ten of 14 shots from the floor… Tracy McGrady only had eight points and 12 assists, shooting 4-for-12 from the field.  T-Mac didn’t score 30 points since a couple of weeks ago, but T-Mac is FOR REAL, folks… The next few players are guys whose lines I like because they can rebound like crazy, but not score, so let’s call them Half-A-Howards - Dikembe Mutombo: 19 boards and seven points; Ben Wallace: 16 and four; Marcus Camby: 16 and nine; Andris Biedrins: 15 and four; Al Jefferson: 13 and four; and Erick Dampier: 10 and two…And the THUGS are back!  Nate Robinson played 13 minutes, scoring ZERO points with two assists and J.R. Smith did a little better, scoring 12 points with two steals… Til next time!
