Whoopi Goldberg-A family emergency will prevent Whoopi Goldberg from completing her her stage run in London. Goldberg had to exit the Sister Act musical after her mother suffered a stroke in the U.S.

-A personal tragedy will keep Martin Short from attending the Emmys this Sunday. Short, who had been nominated for his work on Damages, is mourning the death of his wife. Nancy Dolman died last Saturday of “natural causes.”

-Fred Armisen is already moving on from his failed 10-month marriage to Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss. The funnyman is now reportedly dating Abby Elliott, his Saturday Night Live costar.

-Michael Douglas won’t let his treatment for a throat tumor delay a court battle with his ex-wife. Diandra Douglas is seeking a share of Michael’s earnings from his upcoming film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

Anna Paquin Reveals She’s a Bisexual

I have a feeling fans will be viewing Sookie Stackhouse a lot differently from now on.

In a new PSA for Give a Damn, a campaign that fights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality, Oscar winner Anna Paquin makes a surprise announcement: “I’m bisexual.”

The 27-year-old, who is engaged to HBO co-star , joins a list of celebrities - gay and straight - for the cause. “One hate crime is committed approximately every hour of every day in this country,” Paquin states in the clip.

Others supporting organizer Cyndi Lauper in the campaign include Elton John, Jason Mraz, Whoopi Goldberg, and Wanda Sykes.

In the wake of the actor’s , many of Hollywood’s elite are stepping forward to share their grief and fondest memories of this star.

“Patrick lived a thousand lifetimes,” Rob Lowe told reporters after hearing the news. “I feel like I lost a brother.” Lowe and Swayze go back as far as The Outsiders together, and both are icons of the silver screen.
