Joe Simpson Gets Probation Over DUI

Joe SimpsonJoe Simpson has been found guilty of driving under the influence back in August and has been sentenced.

Despite his efforts to plead no contest, Jessica's and Ashlee's father will serve three years of probation and attend an alcohol-education class.

Simpson was stopped in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles in August when officers believed him to be intoxicated and made an arrest, later causing the 54 year old to spend the night in a jail cell.

The father of two is currently in the middle of divorcing his wife Tina of 35 years, amid rumors that he's gay; Simpson has subsequently denied the rumors.

Chris Brown Ordered to Appear in Court

Chris BrownChris Brown has been ordered to appear in court next month.

The singer was called in as part as a routine progress hearing on Tuesday as part of his felony battery conviction for assaulting then-girlfriend, Rihanna. While he didn't attend in person to report this time, Judge Patricia Schnegg, has expressed concerns about a discrepancy in hours that the Grammy Award-winning star had completed in his required community labor.

The judge asked the probation department to establish where Chris resides because he owns a home in Los Angeles, California and had been doing his community service in his native state of Virginia. She also wants an audit done on Chris' hours to ensure the accuracy leading to her order for him to appear at his next progress report on August 21, according to website RadarOnline.

Last month a fight broke out between Drake and Chris' entourages in a New York City club that resulted in Chris receiving stitches for a gash to his chin. There were multiple injuries from shards of glass from broken bottles, including Eva Longoria's ex-husband, Tony Parker.

Bobby BrownBobby Brown will not face any additional jail time for his arrest for Driving under the Influence (DUI) last month.

The singer was initially arrested in March after police noticed he was driving while on his cell phone in California's San Fernando Valley, but after pleading no contest to one count of driving with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.08, prosecutors have dropped the charge.

He has instead been sentenced to 36 months of summary probation and one day in a county jail - which he has already served. In addition, he must complete a 90-day alcohol course.

Bobby blew 0.12 during the sobriety test and in California that is considered legally drunk. Speaking after his arrest, his attorney Tiffany E. Feder claimed he was taking the situation "seriously."

"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically. He was speaking on his cell phone. Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident. Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is underway. The legal process shall run its course," he said.


Hugh Hefner’s Son Sentenced for Alleged Girlfriend Assault

Marston Hefner and his girlfriendHugh Hefner's son, Marston, has been sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence program for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

The 21-year-old eldest son of the Playboy mogul was accused of kicking Playmate Claire Sinclair and punching her in the stomach during at fight at their Pasedena apartment on February 12. He was subsequently charged with inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and entered a plea of "no contest" in court yesterday.

Marston also stood accused of damaging Claire's laptop during the fight, although that charge was dismissed. According to TMZ.com, the judge ordered him to stay away from Claire - who was pictured moving out of their home just days after the alleged attack. The 20-year-old model quit Playboy while the case was ongoing, and originally said she would drop the charges if Marston apologized publically and sought psychological help.

Marston has previously admitted to having extremely high standards when it comes to women, having grown up in the Playboy Mansion. "My, like, expectancy for what girl I'm going to get is, like, so f*****-up. I've just been around really hot women my entire life, so the average high school girl won't do it for me," he told GQ.


Halle Berry’s Stalker Sentenced to Prison

Halle BerryHalle Berry's stalker has been sentenced to 386 days in prison.

Richard Franco - who was arrested last July after the actress' private security caught him trespassing on her home in the Hollywood Hills - struck a deal with prosecutors by pleading no contest to felony stalking in exchange for dropping a felony burglary charge.

Franco has already served 193 days in jail, so will only have to stay behind bars for another 193 days. According to gossip website TMZ.com, Franco was also sentenced to five years probation after he completes his sentence as well as one year of psychological therapy sessions.

The judge also extended Halle's three-year restraining order against Franco, which requires him to stay at least 200 yards away from her and her three-year-old daughter Nahla for the next 10 years.

Franco was caught on the property three times in three days, and on one occasion broke into her guest house. He was also caught spying on Halle through a kitchen door, which caused her to call police.


Michael Douglas’ Son to Serve Extra Prison Time

Cameron DouglasMichael Douglas' son Cameron has been sentenced to an extra four and a half years in prison.

Cameron, 32, was originally serving five years after he pled guilty to possession and dealing methamphetamine and cocaine in April, but his time in jail has now been almost doubled after he repeatedly violated prison rules by arranging to get drugs while in custody.

Judge Richard Berman cited four different occasions in which Cameron's lawyer smuggled narcotics into prison for him in her bra when announcing the extended sentence. He also recommended Cameron is sent to a prison facility that can offer him drug treatment and mental health care. Speaking in court, Cameron said, "I cannot seem to find comfort within my own skin. I feel ashamed. I feel defeated."

The DJ and actor- who asked for the judge to send him to rehab to deal with the situation "medically" - has previously told the judge of a wish to turn his life around and become an entertainer: "I am sorry for my family and my loved ones for putting them through this nightmare of my making. I ask for an opportunity to be a role model to my younger brothers and sisters."


Lindsay Lohan Completes Community Service

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is believed to have completed her court-ordered community service.

The troubled actress - who was working at the Los Angeles County Morgue as part of her sentence for breaking her probation in relation to a 2007 DUI (driving under the influence) case - is also said to have finished the mandated psychotherapy requirements ahead of schedule. "Lindsay has already completed her community service and therapy requirements," a source said.

In addition to serving four-and-a-half hours of a 30-day sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, last month, the 25-year-old star was ordered by Superior Court judge Stephanie Sautner to undergo psychotherapy sessions and serve 423 hours at the county morgue by March 29, 2012. We never comment on Lindsay's community service progress. Suffice it to say she is being diligent and complying with all court-mandated requirements," a representative for Lindsay said.
