Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says rehab was "unbearable."
The Jersey Shore star has opened up about his stint in a treatment facility in March to cure his addiction to prescription pills, describing it as the toughest experience of his life.
Speaking in a teaser for the first episode of the hit MTV show's sixth season, Mike confessed, "The last couple of months I have been really working on getting back to who I really am. I was dependent on prescription pills. I knew I needed help and I went to rehab. Rehab is the most unbearable, unpleasant experience you could possibly go through, but I am the cleanest and healthiest I have ever been since I was 21 or so."
The 30-year-old star was confronted by his housemates - Snooki, Pauly Delvecchio, Sammi Giancola, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro - around the dinner table about his problems, and he revealed he has found a new lease of life since becoming sober.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has admitted he's addicted to prescription pills.
The Jersey Shore star recently checked into an undisclosed facility for "much needed rest and recuperation" and has now revealed he is seeking treatment for his reliance on prescription medication.
"I wanted to to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion. I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys," the reality star said in a post on his Facebook page.
A representative for The Situation - who recently underwent a promotional tour of Australia - had initially claimed the reality TV star wasn't being treated for drug abuse: "He is not in rehab for substance abuse. He has spent the last several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule."

The Jersey Shore star recently checked into an undisclosed facility for "much needed rest and recuperation" and despite his management insisting he wasn't receiving treatment for substance abuse, his former co-star Angelina Pivarnik claims he's had a long-running history with drugs.
"I don't understand how nobody caught on to him doing a mass amount of drugs! Obviously he's been using the money not for charity, and stuff like that to help kids out, to help people that are less fortunate, but using blow," she said.
Angelina says Mike should have got help for his addictions years ago and thinks he needs to spend a long time in rehab: "He's hideous! He's Popeye on crack. He deserves to freakin' stay in rehab for the next 10 years! Please stay in the rehab and don't come out! I can't believe he didn't go to rehab three years ago."

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has entered rehab.
The Jersey Shore star has checked into an undisclosed facility for "much needed rest and recuperation" following his recent public appearance tour through Australia, but his management have insisted he's not receiving treatment for substance abuse.
"He is not in rehab for substance abuse. He has spent the last several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule," his rep said.
It is thought The Situation is keen to "get away from the public" and "relax" for a few weeks before the upcoming sixth season of Jersey Shore hits MTV.
"Mike is focusing on recuperation after a very long trip through Australia and getting rested up for season six. His friends and family know where he is, he just wants to get away from the public and be on his own for a bit to relax," a source said.
