Melanie Griffith Files for Divorce from Antonio Banderas

Melanie Griffith has reportedly filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas after 18 years of marriage.
The 56-year-old actress has allegedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split in the legal documents filed by her attorney Laura Wasser.
The Working Girl star is reportedly asking for child support and sole physical and joint legal custody of their 17-year-old daughter Stella, as well as spousal support, according to gossip website TMZ.com. It is believed the split is amicable, but their divorce could turn complicated when it comes to dividing up property as they own a number of homes in the US and Spain.
The Hollywood couple first got together after meeting on the set of the 1995 film Two Much, which led to Antonio's divorce from Ana Leza. The pair got married in a low key ceremony in London, England, in 1996, just one month after Antonio, 53, and Ana's divorce was finalized.

Family Gets Melanie Griffith Through Rehab

Melanie Griffith is having therapy sessions with her family.
Her husband Antonio Banderas—with whom she has 12-year-old daughter Stella, while Melanie has two other children from previous relationships—insists that Melanie will only benefit from her time in rehab if all her loved ones support her.
He told Ellen DeGeneres, “We have been following some type of therapy with other families. There are a number of invisible heroes working in Alcoholics Anonymous all around the world. I just say to families, ‘Don’t get embarrassed, just confront this problem head-on. And don’t hide from that because there is a beautiful gift at the end of this tunnel, and it is the person that you love back, and that is what I am searching for.’”
Melanie, 52, checked into Utah’s Cirque Lodge—where Lindsay Lohan and Kristen Dunst previously received treatment—in August.
It is her third stint in a treatment facility, with Melanie previously being treated for addictions to alcohol, cocaine, and painkillers. Antonio has revealed her latest stay is a preventative measure taken after she became nervous of using prescription medication following a knee injury she sustained in a skiing accident 18 months ago.

Celebrity Animal Preserve Stays Put in Spite of Fire

The raging wildfire in California might be looming nearby, but the Shambala Preserve isn’t going anywhere. This Acton, California-based preserve is home to Michael Jackson’s two tigers, among other rescued and donated animals.
Shambala is owned by Tippi Hedren (Melanie Griffith’s mother, star of Hitchcock flicks The Birds and Marnie). Betty White, Bo Derek, Loni Anderson and other celebs are on the advisory board for the Preserve. Just south of Palmdale, California, the property is very close to the fires which continue to burn on a colossal scale.
