Not to downplay the seriousness of Mackenzie Phillips’ shocking claims against her famous father, but this former actress has launched what will surely be one of the most successful marketing plans for a tell-all book since…well, this doesn’t really compare to anything else. First, Phillips shared a shocker with Oprah. Now, she continues to tell her tale despite input from stepmom Michelle Phillips. By the time this book is on the shelves, there’s no doubt that Mackenzie will be at the top of the New York Times bestseller list.
Who says the print industry is struggling?
In the upcoming book, Mackenzie Phillips talks at great length about her incestuous relationship with her father, whom she says “wasn’t a monster.” According to his daughter, John Phillips “was a tortured man who led a tortured existence.”

Report: Michael Jackson Death Ruled Homicide

Despite the Los Angeles Police Department’s attempt to keep Michael Jackson’s autopsy results under wraps, an Associated Press source has confirmed the rumors: the singer’s death was a homicide.
According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed today, the King of Pop’s death was a result of lethal levels of the drug propofol (a.k.a. Diprivan). In the 32-page document, Dr. Conrad Murray revealed that he had been administering 50 mg of the drug nightly to help Jackson sleep. This routine went on for approximately six weeks. Fearing Michael would become addicted, other drugs were later introduced by Murray just days prior to June 25th.
On the morning of his death, Jackson was given another 25 mg of propofol “after repeated demands/requests.”

Jason Schwartzman Weds Brady Cunningham

Funny People star Jason Schwartzman and his live-in girlfriend, fashion designer Brady Cunningham tied the knot last month.
The couple, who have been dating for three years, exchanged vows at a small ceremony in their San Fernando Valley home on July 11.
“It was a very small ceremony with many family members and close friends,” Schwartzman’s rep, Matt Labov, said.
Fans can catch Jason on his upcoming role in HBO’s comedy Bored to Death.

Was this the moment that started Michael Jackson‘s reported addiction to drugs?
Back in 1984, the King of Pop and his brothers filmed a commercial for Pepsi. Although earlier takes went off without a flaw, a sixth take went horribly wrong.
The exclusive footage obtained by Us Weekly shows the terrifying moment when poorly timed pyrotechnics set Jackson’s hair on fire. Unaware of the flames, the singer continued performing for several moments. He was later rushed by others on scene.
Jackson - who ultimately received 2nd and 3rd degree burns as a result of that incident - was prescribed a number of medications to deal with the pain.

Michael Jackson was shooting a promotional video for his upcoming tour a few days ago in Los Angeles, and there were images taken of the event. TMZ obtained the photos, which we’ve got here. As you can see, just a few days ago, Michael looked great and like he was having a great time. As we reported earlier, Michael Jackson has died at age 50 of cardiac arrest.

Michael Jackson Dies

We’ve just learned that Michael Jackson, the iconic pop singer, has died at 50 years old.
Earlier this afternoon, Michael was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest, and paramedics were, unfortunately, unable to revive him. According to TMZ, when paramedics arrived, Michael had no pulse, and they were never able to get a pulse back.
Michael leaves behind his three children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and Prince Michael “Blanket” Jackson II.
Michael Jackson was set for a residency of 50 concerts at London’s O2 Arena, set to start next month. Michael Jackson will obviously be mourned by many, the world over.
It has now been confirmed by the LA Times and CBS News that Michael Jackson has died.
Jon and Kate Plus One Big Break Up

TLC has been offering tantalizing teasers, but unfortunately the cable network’s biggest reality secret has already been scooped…by everybody. Kate Gosselin reportedly filed for divorce from her co-star and ten-year husband, Jon, in Bucks County, PA on Monday.
Meanwhile, a “major announcement” will be revealed on the show this evening - if it hasn’t already been found out by the press, and current public opinion believes this is the case. Jon and Kate’s rocky relationship has made a multitude of headlines over the past few weeks, fueled by rumors of infidelity on both sides. The couple spoke openly about their marital troubles at the beginning of the season.
Which, it is believed, will be the show’s last. TLC can hardly keep showing us Jon and Kate Plus 8 when Jon and Kate are no more.
