Heidi MontagEgads! Pratt, one-half of the reality TV monster known as Speidi, is apparently penning a screenplay. According to Heidi, “It’s very action packed,” sort of a “Bourne-meets-Barbie.” Well, that sounds horrible.

Internet Addict Russell Brand

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Rants, Rumors,

Russell Brand, recovering internet addictAfter having beaten his polygamy tendencies, comedian Russell Brand is now recovering over his obsession with Googling himself.

The Get Him to The Greek actor, who admits he has an addictive personality and has previously beaten heroin addiction, said he eventually gave up typing his name into the internet, as he only saw negative things written about himself.

“It’s the most unrewarding, pointless activity, Googling yourself. I’m doing a lot better. It’s like picking a scab. I have gone a few weeks without looking at it and it divorces you from the slurry of casual vindictiveness.”

He also admitted he toned down his performance as host of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), after his appearance last year - during which he referred to then-US president George W. Bush as a “retarded cowboy fella” - caused such an uproar.

“Last year at the VMAs there were death threats, so obviously this year it was deliberately designed not to cause anyone any bother, but be funny and confident. There was a very deliberate removal of self-destruction. I didn’t take the risks I’ve taken in the past.”

VMA Fashion: Who Hit a Sour Note?

MTV Award

Award season is long, fraught with gossip, and seemingly unending. Someone always walks away with a statue - some performers and artists walk away with several. But by the time the same awards are given out the next year, no one really cares who won what the year before.

What we do remember is what they were wearing when they were doing it. People may not remember which Grammy Jennifer Lopez won the year she wore the green Versace gown, but they remember the gown. This year’s may be remembered for several years - the pictures not of moon men statues, but of the clothes everyone wore.

Whose couture sang the sweetest…and whose fashion was completely discordant?

Paris Hilton Grabs Some Good Press

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Charity, Kind Acts,

Paris Hilton , 27, once promised the world she would do more good works in her life. This isn’t to say she won’t still star on somewhat trashy reality shows - she’s working on a project with MTV right now, in fact - but the heiress apparently isn’t afraid to give some of her millions away.

Hilton recently donated an “extremely generous” undisclosed sum to the to-be-constructed Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. “I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fund raising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious diseases,” Hilton said of her gift. The center Hilton donated to is scheduled to open in 2010.

Tila Tequila Credits Herself For Legalization of Gay Marriage

Tila Tequila thinks she lifted the ban on gay marriageAccording to loathsome MTV star/personality Tila Tequila, the people of California have her to thank for lifting the ban on gay marriage in the Golden State.

“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement,” she claimed in an interview.

Yes, because the politicians, lobbyists, and judges involved in lifting the ban are prone to watching a reality show that is so contemptible that contestants are forced to eat pig vaginas to prove their love to a female who blatantly exploits her “bisexuality.”

“Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships]. Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal,” she later elaborated.

Really, Tila? Really? I thought I heard plenty of asinine remarks from Jessica Alba and Katherine Heigl, but this? I’m not sure whether to laugh or feel very sorry for her.

Madonna Back to Kissing Women

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Photos,

I wonder if is experiencing any pangs of jealousy right now.

Madonna, concert kiss

Last night during a Paris concert, found a new lady to tease the audience with.  This kiss comes nearly five years after the singer’s much talked about smooches with the pop princess and Christina Aguilera.  (If you need a reminder of those moments, you can see them again after the jump.)

I guess it doesn’t matter if Madonna is 45 or pushing 50.  A racy publicity stunt works at any age for her.

Paris Hilton Having a Hard Time Finding Friends

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Rumors,

Paris HiltonEven though production is scheduled to begin next month, it seems Paris Hilton’s new reality show may be hurting in the casting department.

Believing people would want to become her next discarded friend, the socialite has agreed to play nice with those who yearn to be seen by her side.  In Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, the hotel heiress will choose amongst 20 stalkers who will do their best to prove their loyalty to her.  (I’m guessing this MTV production will be something similar to sans the sex.  Or at least, the bisexuality.)

Unfortunately, rounding up a pool of worthwhile candidates is apparently proving to be more difficult than it may have originally seemed.  A recent New York casting call reportedly drew only 40-50 hopefuls in total.  What?  No one wants to be her dogs’ next pooper scooper?

Those interested in applying for the sidekick position can find more information here.
