Katy Perry had an Alice in Wonderland-themed bridal shower yesterday.

The “California Gurls” singer, who is engaged to British comedic star Russell Brand, invited guests to an intimate garden party at a family friend’s house in Los Angeles to celebrate her impending nuptials. “The party had an Alice in Wonderland theme and only 11 of her closest friends were invited,” a source said.

Guests included her DJ pal Mia Moretti, Markus Molinari and her stylists Logan Horne, Rick Henry and Aaron Light. Among the pop star’s family members was her grandmother who brought along with her a picture of a young Katy posing in a pink outfit, which the 25-year-old singer then posted on her Twitter page alongside the comment, “grandma brought this one outta the closet today! (sic)”

In a bid to keep the event secret, everyone invited was asked to leave their phones at the door apart from Katy.

The brunette beauty recently revealed she didn’t plan to wear a latex wedding dress when she ties the not because of how hot they make her: “I’m definitely not going to get married in latex. When I wear latex on stage, I sweat. I could wring out those dresses - and I don’t want to do that at my wedding.”
