In this Ron Howard-directed clip, President Barack Obama (Fred Armisen) is visited by the ghosts of Saturday Night Live‘s past. In his dream, the former White House residents all team up to give the current POTUS advice on how to finally get the Consumer Financial Protection Agency created.

Those offering their not-so-helpful two cents include George W. Bush (Will Ferrell), Bill Clinton (Darrell Hammond), George Bush Sr. (Dana Carvey), Jimmy Carter (Dan Aykroyd), Gerald Ford (Chevy Chase) and Ronald Reagan (played by new face Jim Carrey). Meantime, Maya Rudolph reprises her role as Michelle Obama.
“What you’re saying is I should take on this mess that you all created, take on the banks and their trillions of dollars? How’s this helpful?” Obama asks his predecessors. “It’s a bitch. It’s a bitch,” Reagan admits. “But as George Washington once said to John Adams: ‘Tag. You’re it.’”
Until the CFPA is formed, could someone from SNL please hire Ron Howard…now?
