If you believe the latest reports, George Clooney may just be the last eternal bachelor standing. After weeks of rumors, multiple sources are now claiming that Simon Cowell is indeed engaged to girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy.

Although the two have only been photographed together recently, Simon and Mezhgan (pronounced “mish-gone,” according to her website) have reportedly been dating for about six months now. Cowell and the 36-year-old first met years ago when she did makeup work on American Idol. (In other words, they knew each other when he was still dating longtime girlfriend Terri Seymour.)

Whispers about their relationship have been growing louder over the past couple of days, especially after Hussainy was spotted with a large rock - estimated to be worth around $380,000 - on her left hand. A conversation Simon had on Britain’s ITV with Piers Morgan didn’t quiet the rumors. “‘I’m smitten with Mezhgan - I think she’s the one. She’s very special,” Cowell stated. When the chat steered toward the topic of children, he added: “‘I think I need to have little Simons around.”

Despite recent denials that he has gotten engaged, the Afghanistan-born beauty reportedly told RadarOnline that they are getting married.

When asked to confirm the reports, Cowell’s rep simply stated: “Simon does not discuss his private life.”
