The minute Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon wed, the pregnancy rumors have come non-stop. Thankfully, the singer has a list of explanations ready for every occasion. (Why wouldn’t she sip champagne with Ellen Degeneres last fall? Because she doesn’t drink before 3 pm.)

So what’s Carey’s excuse for the recent speculation? A poor clothing decision.

No - that thing pulled off grandma’s bed is not hiding a baby bump. According to Mariah’s Twitter page, she was just trying to celebrate the Easter holiday. “I don’t know what was worse, the bleak angles and bright peach dress just to be festive(we had fun!) Or the b.s. commentary/blogs,” she wrote.

But that’s not to say the unflattering dress is entirely to blame. “And if I gained a few pounds.. My trainers back living w/me again..yippie,” Carey added.

Okay - so she gained some weight. So what. I’m just still waiting for her to explain the ski outfit she wore last Christmas. I’m sure that wasn’t Mrs. Claus’ idea of “festive.”
