Angelina Jolie may be known for his tattoos, love of daggers and vials of blood, but the actress isn’t the only one in her family with a rebellious past.

During a sit-down on Real Time with Bill Maher, Brad Pitt expanded on comments he made recently to Ann Curry. (You can see that interview after the jump.) Earlier this week, the father of six joked that if he was running for a political position on the “gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform.” Apparently his feelings on the leafy substance stem from years of experience.

The host, who said Pitt’s stoner performance as Floyd in True Romance “looked like it was right from home,” then shared a story about a New Year’s Eve party they both attended many years ago. “You just, all night, rolled these most perfect joints. The most perfect joints I have ever seen…like a machine. Like a cigarette. It was better than a cigarette,” Bill Maher recounted.

“I’m an artist,” Pitt declared.

So why did the Inglourious Basterds star give up this talent? Fatherhood. “I’m a dad now. You want to be alert,” he explained to Maher.

Let’s just hope his new role in life won’t keep him from taking more roles like Floyd.
